Barbara Hillman has 16 years of grooming experience, 14 of them with the Dogfather. In 2010, after 13 and a half years with the phone company, she was laid off and decided to look into dog grooming, enrolling at the CT School of Dog Grooming in North Haven, CT. After graduating, she was hired at the Meriden location — then known as For Your Paws Only, before it became a Dogfather salon — and later moved into mobile grooming, which is when she found her home with the Dogfather. A huge animal lover of all kinds, Barbara jokes that she has a zoo at home, with two chihuahuas, four cats, and a bearded dragon. She grooms all breeds of dogs and cats too, so if you’re looking for a cat groomer, she’s your gal. For Barbara, grooming is a form of art, and she loves pampering fur babies and making them look and smell like a million bucks.
