Alison Turpin has been grooming for one year, drawn to the craft by her passion for making animals feel better, exploring her creative side, working with her hands, and continuing to learn and educate others. One of her greatest strengths is reading animals’ body language and finding ways to work with them that keep both the pet and herself comfortable. She’s also skilled at explaining things to clients, from different hair textures and styles to how to maintain their specific dog’s coat. Above all, Alison wants clients to know their pets are safe and comfortable in her care. She has a deep respect for animals, believing that just because they can’t speak doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to hear and understand them, and she will never push an animal past its limits, always looking out for their best interest no matter what.
